Number 1 – Largest Cupcake
It’s hard to be unsatisfied with a cupcake because of the deliciously moist base and the creamy, sweet icing. The record of the largest cupcake in the world is held by Washington DC’s first gourmet cupcake bakery, Georgetown Cupcake. The feat was achieved on 2nd November 2011 in Sterling, Virginia of USA. Georgetown Cupcake company also got featured in a famous series, DC Cupcakes on the TLC Network.
The cupcake was 36 inches in height and 56 inches in circumference. Custom ovens and pans were designed to make the giant cupcake and surprisingly, the pan itself weighed around 306 kg.
To demonstrate that the giant cupcake was completely cooked and stood upright without any support structures, the pan was designed in a way so that it could be disassembled on that spot.
